I can say that this definitely gets easier each time we do it - and helps me with mental clarity! When did you start doing intermittent fasting Courtney?

Hi Roman. I started about four years ago. I probably didn't emphasize enough what a bid impact this has been in my own health. Though I do the "time restricted eating," daily, I will also periodically do a 24 hour fast when I really feel like I need a reset. Thank you for emphasizing that it gets easier. Glad you find it so helpful.

I’m finding this so interesting. Thinking with help and guidance, maybe I could be successful at this. I’ve sadly struggled with some deep depression, not being able to beat it and NOT wanting to take medication. Am desperately trying to research and find help outside of pharmaceutical. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in this topic.

Thank you for this podcast. It helped me to make further sense of this old monastic adage on fasting: “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch with a friend, and give your dinner to your enemy.”

Also, wondering if you have any guiding thoughts on the use of exogenous ketones versus eating and exercising to producing endogenous ketones naturally - any do’s or don’t. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Robert. Interesting question. I'll try to address some of this is the paid newsletter. In short, I prefer approaches that get the body to produce ketones naturally. You might find Dave Asprey's education around using MTC oil and grass-fed butter (in black coffee) interesting - to bump up ketones during a fast.
